A peaceful community fish that as fry have sight. In the wild this species lives in dark caves. In aquaria, they can live in most conditions, finding food by scent. However, do not keep alone for they are a schooling species!

Bumblebee Goby

Description:
A bottom dwelling fish that can be kept with small Barbs and Tetras (1” max). Small caves for hiding and sea salt (1. tsp. per gal.) will keep your Gobies happy! Territotial only with its own species.

Description:
A friendly, community species that will fare better in groups. Use lots of plants and some rocks or wood for security. An active fish that you may hear making clicking sounds. This species is prone to Ich.

Description:
A delicate fish needing to be in groups of its own kind and other gentle fish (Neons, smaller Rasboras, livebearers, but not swordtails). Grass type plants are a plus. Dim lighting before feeding. Provide hideouts.

Florida Flag Fish
(Jordanella floridae)
Description:
One of the only native American species to be sold in pet shops. Also known as the American Flag Fish because of their red and blue coloration. A brackish water species from the Killfish family. Add ¼-1 tsp of sea salt per gallon of water to maintain health.

Description:
An upper swelling fish that can “fly” on the surface, so use a cover. Floating foods are a must. Floating and long leaved plants will make the fish more at home. Reccommended for community tanks!

Iridescent Shark

Description:
A catfish that resembles a shark. Due to the location of their eyes they often bump into things. When spooked they will jump. Will grown to 48” in the wild. Always moving, they add interest to any tank.

Description:
A shy, nocturnal, community fish that will be more active under subdued light. They need lots of plants plus lots of wood and rock formations for hiding. A sand bottom is ideal because they like to bury themselves.

Description:
An aggressive Killifish. The males will fight and pick on the females. In a species tank, dense planting and low light are best. Try peat moss as a sibstrate. Eggs need a dry place to hatch. Males are more colorful.

Description:
A territorial fish, especially with its own kind. Will tolerate other species if plants and hiding places are provided. The Rainbow Shark requires a large tank when mature (20 gal. min.), with lots of swimming area.

Description:

Description:
A lively school fish that enjoys lots of plants. An egglayer suitable for a beginning breeder. If left alone, parents will not eat their young. Males are more colorful and thinner. They will become pale if not kept in schools!
