Albino Zebra

Description:
A territorial, aggressive fish to its own and other species. Keep one male with two females per tank (20 gal. long min.), and no other fish. They need lots of rocky hiding places for territory selection. The female holds her eggs in her mouth!

Black Angel
(Pterophyllum scalare)
Description:
Keep with other medium size species. Angels school only when they are young. Because they eat plants, use only hardy varieties (try Giant Hygrophila). Weaker and more sensitive to water chemistry than other Angels. Do not overfeed!

Blue Ram
(Papiliochromis ramirezi)
Description:
A Cichlid that does well in community tanks. Group plants for hiding with open space for swimming. Sensitive to changing water chemistry and conditions. A colorful additions to any aquarium. Will live up to 3 years.

Discus
(Symphysodan discus)
Description:
A fairly delicate fish needing clean, soft, slightly acidic water. Very placid and schooling. Do not keep in community tanks. A group of Discus is a beautiful sight to behold! They eat primarily live food. Try frozen beef heart as an alternative.

Festivum
(Mesonauta festiva)
Description:
A shy, territorial Cichlid needing dense, hardy vegetation and hiding places (use rocks or wood). Do not keep with smaller fish (particularly Neons, their favorite food!). Will do best with Angel Fish. Sensitive to nitrates, so regular water changes are needed.

Gold Angel
(Ptrophyllum scalare)
Description:
A beautiful fish that can be kept (when grown) with Rams, Kribensa, and Tetras. A schooling fish when young, then later pairing off at a maturity. Use hardy plants only (try Giant Hygrophila and Onion Plants) leaving some open space for swimming. Overfeeding will kill Angels!

Description:
A territorial Cichilid that will do well in community tanks with species of similar size. They need hardy plants and rock formations for territorial activity (they like to burrow). The Kribensa spawns upside-down in caves. The fry can remain with the parents.

Description:
A schooling species until breeding time, when a pair will stake out their territory. A cave breeder needing lots of rock formations for hiding places. They make very good parents. Older fry actually help care for younger siblings!

Lemon Cichlid
(Neolamprologus leleupi)
Description:
An excellent fish for 5-10 gallon tanks with rock formations as hiding places. Peaceful until breeding time, when the male becomes aggressive. The female lays eggs on the roof of a cave; and will raise successive spawns in the same tank.

Description:
