ALBINO CATFISH
(Corydoras paleatus)
Description:
       An active bottome dweller that locates food with its “whiskers”.  They sometimes dart to the surface to gulp air.  Females grow larger and wider, and will deposit eggs on glass and plants.  A hardy schooling fish that should never be kept alone, or with fish over 3".

BLACK SAIL CORY
(Corydoras melanistius)
Description:
       A schooling bottom dweller that should never be kept alone (try mixing with other Cories).  Very hardy, and active.  An excellent speciaes for most community aquariums with fish  3" or smaller.  Notice their unusual ability to roll their eyes.

BLUE-EYED PLECO
(Panaque suttoni)
Description:
        A peaceful rare fish that should be kept with other peaceful fish.  Strong currents and high oxygen are preferred.  Provide driftwood for hiding places, and food.  Feed lots of veggies.  Pebble size gravel and rocks will make this fish more at home.

• Temperament: Tranquil.

FLYING FOX
(Epalzeorhynchus kallopterus)

Description:
        When still, the Flying Fox rests on its pelvic fins.  Picking a spot on the bottom near rocks, or broad leafed plants; they defend their space, more aggressivly with age.  Still a good community fish (more aggressive to its own kind than other species).

• Food: Live, frozen, algae, lettuce.
• Temperament: Territorial.

GREEN CATFISH
(Corydoras aeneus)
Description:
        A fun species suitable for most aquarium setups.  A hardy, schooling, bottom dweller that should never be kept alone, or with fish larger than 3".  Occassionally they will go to the surface for air, and even food.  Notice their unusual ability to roll their eyes.

JULII CORY
(Corydoras trilineatus)

Description:
        A smaller carfish needing to be kept in schools.  A bottom dweller, community fish (with other smaller fish) that will ass an interesting, active dimension to any aquarium.  Whicksers are used to find food.  Darting to the surface, and eye rolling are normal behaviors.

PANDA CAT
(Corydoras panda)
Description:
       A smaller Cory with a striking panda look.  A wonderful addition to any tank with other smaller species.  Note interesting behavior like darking to the surface for air, and eye rolling.  An egglayer that should always be kept in schools.

PIMODELLA CAT
(Pimelodus pictus)
Description:
        A gentle community fish needing floating plants (to dim lights) and lots of places to hide.  When full grown they may eat Neon sized fish.  Their antennae whiskers are used to find food.  Do not catch with a net (the sharp edges of the pectoral fins will catch)!

PLECO
(Hypostomus plecostomus)
Description:
       A hardy fish that will eat algae and soft plants.  They grow rather large, and become territorial with age.  A good, hardy community fish recommended for any aquarium with larger species.  Wood and rocks will make the Pleco more at home.

Food:Soft greens, any sinking foods.

UPSIDE-DOWN CATFISH
(Syndontis nigriventris)
Description:
       This unusual fish like to forage the underside of plants, rocks and wood.  It does indeed swim upside-down!  A good cummunity fish.  Use broad leafed plants for foraging and hiding.  Try the Amazon Sword or other Echinodirus varieties.

• Food: Insect larvae, flakes, small frozen.
• Temperament: Peaceful.

WOOD CAT
(Hoplosternum thoracatum)

Description:
        A peaceful fish except at spawning time.  Hardy, will tolerate most conditions, but prefers low light and hiding places.  Use floating plants to dim lighting and rocks or wood for decoration.  Kepp only one to a community tank.  Wood Cats eat at night.
